John Maus must be done with his school work, because the PhD musician is touring again with a Denver date on the dockett. In 2011, the Ribbon Music artist released what could have easily pass as the unofficial soundtrack for “Robocop” with gems like, “Cop Killer,” and ominous digital gems.
Six years have come and gone since the release of Maus’ third album, “We Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves,” and not a hint of any new music. However, news that a tour must signal that new music is on the horizon or perhaps, imminent.

What’s curious is that from the string of tour dates as of now, Denver’s date is a in a supporting capacity from avante garde artiste, Ariel Pink. But maybe not so crazy considering the two were Cal Arts classmates at one time.
