This was my third time seeing the kids from NYC. In that time, they’ve managed to snag covers to multiple mags, a spot on SNL, and a ton of new converts. Their SPIN performance was energetic enough to make the Columbia student body proud.

I have never given the Raveonettes any credit or given their music a fair shake. All of that will change as of last Friday. Their haunting rhythm and 60’s flair should be causing more commotion in the blogosphere. At any moment you felt like the trio was going to break into Leader of the Pack, very nostalgic indeed.

Kaki King played to a musty and humid crowd at Volume. The performance was a little lackluster considering what I was expecting, although the crowd was definitely into the performance.

Bon Iver delivered a quiet, yet poignant performance to a rather unruly and inebriated crowd. His cool and calm demeanor saved what could have been a rather disastrous outing.
