Drive-By Truckers release one hell of a political statement with “Thoughts and Prayers”

Drive-By Truckers have never been accused of holding their tongue with their criticism of our country’s leadership or lackthereof.

Our favorite Southern institution (sorry Kenny Rogers Roasters) sounds like a muzzle of bees in a small bonnet with their latest political protest song, “Thoughts and Prayers.”

The scathing five minute single is a gripping observation of today’s political climate and how we as a public react to our everyday norm of mass shootings.

Look for the latest album from the DBT’s to be released January 31 via ATO Records and their tour to begin this week with three dates in the Boulder/Denver area.
