The Bluebird Music Festival makes a key addition

Fans thought a solo performance by My Morning Jacket’s Jim James for the Bluebird Music Festival as the headliner was good news.

Throw in the fact that fans get a “matinee” performance and an “evening” performance to choose from and now it feels like the Bluebird Music Festival is toying with us.

The folks at Bluebird Music Festival headquarters added Colorado solo artist (whom I ‘ve never seen pictured without a hat of any kind) Gregory Alan Isakov. Words escape the elation that we’re feeling with the all too perfect last minute addition of the celebrated wordsmith.

The “Afternoon Event” includes Jim James, Gregory Alan Isakov, Langhorne Slim, and Daniel Rodriguez (Elephant Revival) strumming a few tunes and playing storytime about the history of their music.

The “Evening Event” includes full sets by Jim James, Langhorne Slim, Neyla Pekarek (formerly of The Lumineers), Ben Sollee, Jonny Miller, and Sun Jr. 

The Bluebird Music Festival takes place May 25, 2019 at Mackey Auditorium in Boulder (buy tickets here).
