Son Lux decided to go with the quiet scary approach to video development. It doesn’t help that the trio’s trip-hop inspired beats lend themselves to that dark aesthetic that makes the little hairs on the back of your neck stand up. We’re talking like Darren Aronofsky in “Mother!” territory. Ryan Lott, Rafiq Bhatia, and Ian Chang bring much-needed attention to a glossily produced album released in the earlier part of 2018.
