Five years since Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks released a new album. The ex-Pavement main man is following up “Wig Out at Jagbags” with a slowed down number with an ode to “Middle America,” wherein the Oregon resident details the many benefits of growing old in the most graceful of ways. No new album information is available, but trust that one is on the way. Look for Malkimus and the Jicks to hit the road for a North American summer tour that lands at the Gothic Theater in Denver on July 31.
