Boiler Room celebrates Air’s debut album “Moon Safari”

In case you needed any help with feeling old, Air’s masterpiece “Moon Safari” turns twenty this year. It was the late 90s and French music was killing the game: Daft Punk, Air, Cassius, and Gotan Project to name a few acts. To help celebrate the 20th anniversary of “Moon Safari,” Boiler Room has the 2017 Air concert in the iconic Sydney Opera House in Australia. Watch the near ninety minutes of absolute greatness below and try to space out just a little bit. The last release from the French duo came in the form of a “best of” release with “Twentyears,” a collection of hits and rarities.

In the meantime, you can enjoy work from half of Air with JB Dunckel’s latest single, “Hold On” taken from the forthcoming album “H+” out March 16. No new Air album is on the horizon. The last full length the two released was in 2012 when they dropped “Le voyage dans la Lune.” What’s more curious is that Air didn’t collaborate with Sofia Coppola on the Civil War remake, “The Beguiled,” after contributing on “Marie Antoinette,” “Lost and Translation,” and “The Virgin Suicides.”
