Cut Copy take off with “Airborne” video

Cut Copy successfully channels many ’80s elements as possible in their “Airborne” video.
Director Gerson Aguerri (The Vaccines, Breakbot) of the Barcelona-based production team CANADA takes it old school style with the neon lights and retro threads donned by lead vocalist Dan Whitford.

The random middle aged man running amok in the video bares a striking resemblace to Lazlo Hollyfeld from “Reel Genius.”

Look for the newest addition to the Astralwerks roster to release their latest album soon. No official word yet, but with a consistent touring schedule and new music, one can only connect the dots. The Aussies most recently visted Denver for the Westword Music Showcase last month.
