Dan Auerbach isn’t waiting around for Patrick Carney to finish canoodling with Michelle Branch. The lead vocalist of the Black Keys announced the upcoming release of his new solo album, “Waiting on a Song.” It appears that he’s been heavily influenced by the Traveling Wilburys on the bearded wonder’s video for “Shine on Me.” The solo effort looks to be released via Auerbach’s imprint, Easy Eye Sound.

The last Black Keys album released was 2014 with “Turn Blue.”
