One of the granddaddies of electronic music is pushing boundaries almost thirty years in the game. The Orb released the first single from their October 14 album, “COW / Chill Out, World” via Kompakt titled, “5th Dimensions.” “COW” marks the fifteenth LP since their inception, chalking up an astounding eighty plus remixes in the process. On the duo’s first sample of new material since 2015’s “Moonbuilding 2703 AD,” we see the twosome delve into an ambient ethereal state of mind pushing listeners to a deep form of meditation.
