Zhu last lit up the scene in 2014 with the legitimate burner, “Faded.” Fast forward two years and the Bay Area producer seared up a laid-back lounge landscape with his latest single, “Palm of my Hand.” Let’s be real here, the beginning moments sound like a direct prelude to what could have been the theme music to Showtime’s racy series, “Red Shoe Diaries.”

Look for the talented producer to drop his debut album, “GENERATIONWHY,” via Columbia on July 29.
