Maybe things have come full circle. One of the acts people love to hate on as much as they do when describing Nickelback, Coldplay is a near second. Granted the matrimony between Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow didn’t help matters much. David Bowie or Beyonce didn’t think much of them either. But nothing really stopped the UK act from churning out tepidly received albums that in recent years that have included collaborations with Rihanna, Tove Lo and Queen Bey. Somehow, Chris Martin and the boys won lots of fans on the fence and non believers with a performance that has turned public perception drastically. Playing alongside Barry Gibb didn’t hurt either.
