Harbors “Good Luck”

What if Connor Oberst started making making music for the CW or WB (is that even a network anymore)? Singer-songwriter and guitarist David Shayne’s vocals resemble Oberst’s in an impeccable way. A little scratchy at times, but Shayne’s deeming quality enhances the lyrics when baring his soul for the world to see. Harbors’ eponymous debut album was recorded with all-around music whiz, Ted Gowans, of Tegan and Sara fame that blends a passionate pedal steel and an intense level of sincerity. The SoCal act’s captivating initial offering is an infectious listen from start to finish that will compliment the rest of the summer days till Labor day.
