I received a cryptic email this morning from Australia. The message came with a link to a Sound Cloud page with one track titled “Roof.” The sound resides in dreamlike landscape between beats of consciousness that are akin to Four Tet and Caribou. The lack of haziness or drony direction is much appreciated in a genre of music that has beaten the proverbial dead horse. The material is promising, but clearly wishing/hoping much more from the blokes/sheilas.
