M83 got some major <3 from P4K with a 9.1 but was it really THAT much better than “Saturdays=Youth?” I have a theory that artists get major love on current projects based on the previous works. There wasn’t this much hype for any of M83’s albums until now. Urban Outfitter’s is reppin’ the album pretty hard and pretty much everywhere. It’s not my favorite M83 album, although that could change after a few more spins. The album is a tad too ambitious and sprawling at times.
Future Islands’ new album “On the Water” is a huge departure from previous works playing like a modern Roxy Music with a panache that seems so effortless. Catch them on tour at the dates below.
