The two forces have collaborated to make sweet Jane music together. According to a report from Rolling Stone, Lou Reed and Metallica have laid down some tracks at Metallica’s studio in San Francisco and the album is 90% done. They have ten songs recorded and shall they tour together, I wonder how much will be Velvet Underground/Metallica material that will be covered. Here’s to hoping it’s more “White Light/White Heat” than “Ride the Lightning.” Most importantly, does this mean James Hetfield will be doing backup vocals or strictly on shredding detail? Will Lou Reed appear at press conferences/live appearances in a leather vest?
