I could never pinpoint which of three I like better between Greg Dulli’s different outfits: the Twilight Singers, the Afghan Whigs or the Gutter Twins.What I can pinpoint is that Greg Dulli does have an uncanny ability to pen a damn good song and the new album, “the Dynamite Steps,” could possibly be amongst his grittiest work available. The album was released last February via SubPop and it boasts contributions from Ani DiFranco, Joseph Arthur, Petra Haden, Nick McCabe (The Verve), and Mark Lanegan. You can catch them supporting the release on tour with Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s.
