…….And we’re back! Ric Ocasek and Co. has served as inspiration/mentor for many bands out there. Many of which have tried to replicate the nerd rock giants and falling short. One of my favorite things about the Cars was their videos. Back in the day when MTV played videos, I would wait for hours on end to catch “You Might Think” for two simple reasons. I was in love with the model in the video and seeing Ric Ocasek’s head superimposed on a fly’s body made my day. In my head, I always thought that when I had a girlfriend, I would play “Drive,” to create a romantic ambiance that would ultimately lead into sheer success.
