the Strokes + TDK (You Remember Them as the Tapes You Used For Mixtapes)

I hope you guys are ready to hear and listen to lots of Strokes news. They have a new album coming out next year and plan on making 2011 a big one. The guys talk about their memories from their youth of making mixtapes and what it was like waiting around for a certain song to come on the radio. It was a complete art. You had to get the pause button and record button in-sync so that you wouldn’t get that loud “click” noise. I wish I had kept my old mixtapes instead of tossing them. I had a nice collection going, especially the ones that I jacked from my older sister. Head over to TDKhifi.com for more mixtape chronicles from artists like Nas and the Walkmen.
