The Frenchkiss parade came strolling through with two of their brightest acts going. Both bands from opposite coasts brought together by one of the most buzzed tours of this year. The frenetic energy brought by Suckers is an eccentric kind that can only be rivaled by Of Montreal and their buzz-saw type hooks are best likened to that of Wolf Parade. They didn’t disappoint live and you can pre-order their forthcoming album, “Wild Smile”, here. Very few times do bands move me in an all-around type body high the second time in concert. Local Natives have gotten better live and are doing their best possibly having the best album of the year with “Gorilla Manor”. Albums as a whole aren’t part of the plan in a music business that is “singles driven”. Their audience participation is a large part of their show that include  rampant  singalongs that  are perfect for campfires. The guys are still touring strong and make sure you catch them if you can on this tour.
