Honey Clouds newish album, Fall on the Honey Clouds, scared me a bit because I thought the Silver Jews and Pavement had created a new band.

Lot’s of bands get dubbed the next coming of David Berman or Stephen Malkmus, but as a Pavement and Silver Jews fan, this is as close as it will get for fans to any type of revival. The only slight difference is that the harmonies from Honey Clouds are more melodic and the delivery isn’t as abrasive. The same nasally vocals are still there and the speak singing technique is in full effect.  The title of their album released via Peapod is Fall on the Honey Clouds, and you can purchase here.
