Everything Absent or Distorted
The story of eight individuals coming together to make music is one as a complicated as an ex-lover. Think about the intricate story lines that transpire. You have people getting married, having kids, the passing of loved ones, and budding/failing relationships. You stir all of that in a pot , or a recording studio and the final product is the beautiful new release, The Great Collapse, from EAOD. For those fortunate to live in the 303 or who have had the opportunity to witness the showmanship from eight guys that love music, art, and all of the above can tell you that they’re not only one of the most versatile acts out there, but passionate. All the elements from their EP, the Soft Civil War, have been magnified and scrutinized, all for the better. It is with a very heavy heart that I will not be able to go to their album release party below due to the wedding of one of my friends, but I trust some of you out there will be there in my place loudly cheering the new material.
