Monolith Festival Lineup Released
The Music Kids at the Denver Post just got the scoop of the year for music in Denver. There’s going to be a music festival Sept. 14-15 at Red Rocks and the names are going to be HUGE!!! How huge you ask, Raven Huge!!! Here’s a bit from the article:
Oklahoma City psych-rockers the Flaming Lips and Portland, Oregon’s literary pop maestros the Decemberists are among the biggest names on the initial release, which also includes Spoon, Kings of Leon, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Cake, Cloud Cult, Ghostland Observatory, Flosstradamus with Kid Sister, Das Efx, Earl Greyhound, Juliette & the Liks, Yacht, Ra Ra Riot, Bob Log III, Lords of the Underground, Everything Absent or Distorted, Hot IQs, Cat-A -Tac,Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band, Autovaughn and Otis Gibbs.
Shit, you had me at Oklahoma. Here’s the Festival Site and leave them a comment on their Myspace to let them know there is an alternative to sweating your balls off in mid September in Austin. This is the initial lineup, meaning that there will be more acts involved, so keep an eye out, look for tickets to go on sale June 2nd…
