Franz Ferdinand – Fillmore Denver

Well do you wanna??
The show lacked a lot of things. For starters, I love the Fillmore, but when you have already seen a band at a venue like the Blue Bird, it’s kinda hard to go to see the same band with 10 times more people. I think most of the kids at the show were old enough to have a drivers license, I think? Their new material sounded great though, only redeeming factor, only thing was, the crowd only wanted to hear old material. One thing is for certain is that the band does sound like a seasoned group and very tight on stage. Pretty Girls Make Graves sounded great and sounded intense. Nobody seemed to give the openers a chance, little did the crowd know, Pretty Girls were there to ROCK and not be denied. They previewed new material that included more synth type creative delicacies witha hint of the old accordion, GOD do i luv me some accordion, especially when a hot rocker chick is banging the hell out of the thing…

  1. Pretty s Make Graves, ROCK?
Take it from the guy who almost feel sleep on the rail and got yelled at from Trevor the bass player, they don’t rock. They had to be the worst live band I ever heard. Cutcopy was great though, to bad the guitarist didn’t bum me a smoke though. Also the lead from PGMG was like an Ashlee Simpson impersonater.
