Eseem or is it Meese?!?!?

Photobucket

Meese is playing a not so secret show Tuesday night. First off, the festivities will start by listening to their new record to be released on major label Atlantic Records this May. The guys will be making the rounds in Austin for SXSW at several parties below. Their sugary brand of pop will win lots of fans over, or perhaps leave them with a mouthful of cavities, or maybe both.

The New Pornographer will be making her way to Denver! Her new album, Middle Cyclone, is available today eveywhere! I haven’t listened to her newest offering, but I’m sure I will take kindly to the album, and I wonder if it’s better than her bandmate’s album , A.C. Newman (pretty stellar).

Ben Kweller

Ben Kweller :: 10.10.08 :: Bluebird Theater

Kweller as you knew him exchanged his Converse for some Tony Lama ropers. I’m ok with it, because I did grow up in Texas and I do listen to Country from time to time. Kweller performed some of his new material acoustically for WNEW and interviewed as well. He will be doing an E-Town performance below. Check it !

Company of Thieves

Photobucket

Here’s the Rushmore inspired video from Company of Thieves for their single, Oscar Wilde. The Chicago band is touring in support of their infectious Ordinary Riches album. I’m sure I’m not the only one to have made this comparison, but lead vocalist,Genevieve Schatz, sounds a lot like the vocalist from Land of Talk.
