Thomas Bangalter (half of Daft Punk)
So, half of Daft Punk contributed what looks like a belated Valentine’s Day Gift. Thanks for the heads up Headphone Sex! (Right, Daft Punk @ Red Rocks)

Sunny Day Sets Fire
I got this Remix EP from Sunny Day Sets Fire and it’s been setting fire to my car stereo this week, and thought I’d share, being that it’s Thursday and all.

This group from Minnesota has created a song that I can’t stop listening to. The rest of the album has plenty of heart to be spread around and definitely good enough to make Paul Westerberg happy.
People in Planes
And a word from People in Planes:
Our new project was recorded with four different producers in six studios across Wales, England and America, and we’ve put our entire souls into it. It’s been a long wait for all of us, and we’re really excited to present this first track to you- “Pretty Buildings“.

Pase Rock Remix
Here’s another one of Nate Day’s Remixes. Beauty!
Pase Rock ft. Amanda Blank-Sexy Motherfucker (Nate Day Remix)[mp3]
We have another duo from Australia. Except this time, the tempo has been slowed down several notches. Their name is the Emergency and they consist of the duo of Milo & Morgan, M&M if you will. I like the dirty synth sound when it’s slowed down to a snail’s pace. Think Italian’s Do It Better, but with male vocals, and perhaps a little steamier if possible. A perfect way to start Friday!
Urb has some remixes from other people remixing Mark Ronson. I thought it was the other way around. Oh, I am so confused.
Mark your calendars. Feb. 19th is the date when the Raveonettes release the debut on Vice. To commemorate the release, seems as though The Dandy Warhol’s Peter Holmstrom, and The Village Green’s Jeremey Sherrer take a hand at remixing the duo’s latest single. One more thing, the Raveonettes will be doing the SXSW thing and most recently played some live tracks at Live Daily.
The Raveonettes-Dead Sound (Remix by Peter Homstrom and Jeremy Sherrer)[mp3]
As in the name of the group from Sydney, Australia. The picture isn’t a mugshot, but I thought it was. Metal PostCard is releasing their fierce debut 7″ , half of which, will get you over the hump.

Here’s something that Ryan Justin just cooked up.
