Track List

Ghosts (Single Edit)
Ghosts (Toxic Avenger Mix)
Ghosts (Cassette Jam Mix)
Ghosts (Modwheelmood Mix)

BTW, the new album is a step up from the last album. Last time around, the group just seemed to go through the motions and just mailed it in. Ladytron will be doing a full tour in support of the album w/Datarock and the two will be making their way to Denver.

The Kiss-Off

All music derives from another group, sound, album, style, etc. I don’t want to hear that they sound too much like Interpol, Joy Division, or any of the above. The Kiss-Off is a Brooklyn band, and by listening to their music you couldn’t tell that, now you know. Their influences listed on their Myspace had me sucked in immediately. The group has a new EP titled Brace that the guys just finished wrapping up and they have a couple of dates out East where they will be supporting this new gem.

Spitzer

Spitzer has scaled the world (by world I mean everywhere but North & South America) but the brotherly French electronic duo (no, it’s not Daft Punk) will be releasing their EP Roller Coaster very very soon, hopefully in time for Summer. Here’s something off of the EP to wet your whistle.

The Wombats

The high level of excitement that the Wombats infuse is heard in their music and these British kids will be dropping their self-titled EP today via Bright Antenna. Please disregard the horrible comparisons to the Arctic Monkeys and please do not label them as a phony NME group of the week. The lads will be dropping a proper full length in June.

Hearts of Palm

Nathan & Stephen is now Hearts of Palm, write that down. The energy that this group creates is similar to throwing everything they have including the kitchen sink on stage. Not to mention the fact that Nathan’s hoarse voice kind of resembles Craig Finns. Good news for fans, their new EP, The Bridge, is available for download here.

Four Tet

Have you ever wondered what the Fibonacci Sequence would sound like if it were on speed or perhaps revved up to 1000 RPM’s? This EP is not your what you would expect from Four Tet.

Four Tet-Ringer [mp3]

The new Four Tet release “Ringer” is to be released on the 21st April (May 6th in North America). Track listing is: 1. Ringer (9:58) 2. Ribbons (5:21) 3. Swimmer (8:43) 4. Wing body wing (7:27) It will be available on cd, 12″ double pack and download. There will be a couple of shows around the release and I’m booking lots of DJ dates at the moment so keep at eye on the live page of this website. I’ll try and get some of this new music up on my myspace soon so you can check it out. In further news I think the remix I did for Thom Yorke is about to get a vinyl release so look out for that. And I’ve just finished a remix for Born Ruffians for Warp records… not sure when that’s due out though. I’m also just back from New York where I’ve been recording a new album with Steve Reid that will be released later this year.

A Shoreline Dream

What a difference an EP can make? When you first thought that the guys from A Shoreline Dream couldn’t sound any darker or moodier, they go on and get all Cure Disintegration on us. I love the new EP (new to me). The guitars are still all fuzzy and they have some good news in store for us. They have Ulrich Schnauss and Kramer from Ween/Butthole Surfers working on upcoming releases. That’s pretty fucking huge!

Plus, the guys will be playing this Friday.
