the Weekender ::: Bruce Springsteen & Arcade Fire @ SXSW + new albums from Hot Chip and Damon Albarn
SXSW has come and gone again.
SXSW has come and gone again.
I plowed through “the Hunger Games” trilogy in the span of a couple of weeks.
The shitstorm from last night’s SNL performance by overnight blog/hype/interwebs sensation, Lana Del Rey, was heard/seen all over the Twitters last night.
Arcade Fire and their big top vintage circus stage show rolled into town Saturday night before a capacity crowd in Broomfield at the nicely remodeled 1stBank Center (love the free arcade games).
I think I utter the same sentiment that most of the world had when they found out that the Arcade Fire had been announced as a Grammy winning act for “Album of the Year.”
This isn’t the first time Calexico has covered Arcade Fire.
The video was shot in the Republic of Texas by Spike Jonze.
Arcade Fire played SNL for the second time in the last couple of years.
I wonder if the song served as inspiration to the title of their collaborative effort?
Seldom do I actually watch any performances in regular time on television.
